I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

I'm glad to have visited your main page here Lori! You may recall I am a great admirer of your fine talents & artworks to show for it. This piece is none the less! I enjoy the mood of these colors, combining two of my favorites, red & yellow. It reminds me of Peace, peaceful repose, exhaling with realized satisfaction. The realism in your ancient bench and chest with hardware play so well against the fantastical, dream-like symbolism. Happy to Follow your work here now also :) L/F

For me this painting brings to mind Shu Shu who dreamt he was a butterfly . When he awoke He wasn't sure if he was a man dreaming that he was a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming that he is a man. Can you tell me more about how the image came to mind? Glad to be introduced to your work. Jean-Frances

Lori, the butterflies are like thoughts, coming out of that box in remembering a wonderful part of a life - romantic and wonderfully done - Dagmar
